Studio Wae’s vision is to extend the life cycle of waste flows and create employment for people with a distance to the labor market.
We think it is important that everyone becomes aware that waste can have a positive value.
We make circular paving that is made of 76% recycled raw materials extracted from Urban Mining (= old paving and materials from buildings, that are up for demolishment). With the production of the concrete Cityscapes tiles, we are able to combine our love for design and passion for recycling. This results in a high-quality design tile which is guaranteed to last for years. We are partners with NL Greenlabel for a sustainable outdoor space. The resources of The Right Wae Collection tiles also remain in the circular loop.
The ‘Cityscape’ and ‘Box’ tile are part of ‘The Right Wae’ collection by Studio Wae and consist of 76% recycled raw materials. Both tiles are a homage to M.C. Escher. They are grippy, water-levelling, durable and available in three colors; grey, anthracite and terracotta. You can create small wadis, leave open spaces and fill them with greenery in your project. This contributes to better drainage of rainwater, as does the deep false joint in the tile.
Our unique rugs and flooring with geometrical shapes, are made of 100% production waste from sustainable high end carpet tile producers in the Netherlands. Collaboration with these pioneers prolongs the lifecycle of their waste. Choose any color, shape and size to create a unique rug or flooring that fits any space.
We have a stock of approximately 30,000 m2 in over 500 colors. So there is always a color combination that suits your project. Visit our showroom and create your own Wae!
The production of Wae’s carpet collection is made by people with limited job opportunities, in our own workplace in Bunnik. Our mission is to employ as many people as possible with a distance to the labor market, offering them a solid base to build a future in the Netherlands.
From november 2024 we will have the social entrepreneurship certificates PSO Trede 3 and PSO 30+ :
Tynke van den Heuvel
Founder
I am Tynke, founder of Studio Wae. Until now, I have not been able to defeat Nour at ping-pong once and that bothers me. That is why I am secretly practicing. I am good at sharing my passion about sustainable enterprising and new ideas come to me virtually every day, a new form, a new product or a surprising campaign. I am the product developer and jack of all trades in the company.
Hannah Romijn
Account manager
Hi, I’m Hannah, an all-rounder at Studio Wae! With my eye for detail and love for structure, I keep everything running smoothly. I love helping Studio Wae grow and become even more well-known. In my free time, I recharge with good food, meaningful conversations, a lovely walk in nature, or a round of ice skating (or rollerblading, depending on the season). Got a question? I’m happy to help!

Hey! I'm Marlijn. At Wae, I get to fully utilize my creativity and versatility as an all-rounder. I mainly focus on product development here, working on both the digital and analog aspects. How amazing is it that I can apply all of this in a sustainable way? In my free time, I love board sports: skateboarding, wakeboarding, snowboarding, and surfing. Or you can find me in my vegetable garden. At Wae, I also make sure that our beautiful show garden gets plenty of love and attention.

I’m Amir. I really love food, but I’m not a great cook. I currently live in Bunnik, but I’m originally from Iran. I’m trying to master the language, but I still find it quite challenging. At Studio Wae, they teach me a new difficult word every day. I work in production with a great team. I love watching movies and spending time in nature.
